Weather HD Free iPad App

Of the most useful apps that have emerged with smart devices are the most simple ones: Weather, stock, notepads, etc…  Somehow, the iPad was never paired with a pre-installed weather app. Luckily there are a few good free alternatives. Weather HD Free is a simple and elegant weather app optimized for an immersive user experience to go along with weather updates.

Weather HD displays a fluid video for each type of weather being reported. It’s a great interactive experience for a user to see the weather change in a video. Everything about the app is very fluid. Each forecast is a full screen video playing in high quality. Users can choose to hide or show the full forecast for the week with the selection of a button in the bottom of the window.

The free version of the app allows only up to two cities to be added in the preferred list. I found that having two was enough for me, but for the travelers who may find themselves up and about, it is a very frustrating limitation.  To keep the overall screen clean and elegant, data about the weather is kept to a minimum. Those users looking for more extensive details on weather such as maps, climate details will want more.
