Twitter iPad App

It’s official, Twitter has released an official native app for the iPad. Stop opening Safari for your daily Twitter fix and you can even get rid of any other Twitter clients you may have on your iPad. Twitterific, Tweetdeck (until they open up Facebook, Foursquare, and LinkedIn feeds), and Tweet Flow can all take a backseat to the official Twitter app.

Twitter for iPad features a clean navigation, allows for multiple account access, an elegant and easy-to-learn user interface, and completely friendly way for you to tweet, follow, and browse your feeds.

Depending on how connected you are to the Twitter world, you can have either your primary account as well as multiple accounts setup and to appear on the left navigation.

The new user interface opens a breadcrumb sequence of panes each time you conduct a search, open a tweet, or follow a link. The best part of the panes is that for web links, media, pictures, and videos – clicking on such links opens up an in-app browser in the pane that lets you stay in the app without quitting.

In addition to a simple design, the Twitter iPad app expands upon the standard browser access to Twitter by introducing two new app gestures. Take two fingers and slide down on any Tweet and follow the entire conversation between RT-retweets and @replies. Take two fingers to zoom in a tweet and view more information about the user profile behind the tweet.

To sum it up, for any Twitter user out there and even if you don’t Tweet (an account isn’t required to use the app) the Twitter for iPad app is an amazing and great app for your iPad.
