Atomic Web Browser Lite iPad App
If you’re sick of not having tabbed web browsing on Safari, Atomic Web Browser Lite (Free Edition) is an excellent alternative to Apple’s built-in browser. While sharing the same browsing capabilities as Safari, Atomic Web Browser Lite enhances your internet surfing experience by allowing you to add easily switchable tabbed browser windows like you would on your desktop.
Atomic Web Browser Lite is a quick loading, easy-to-use and viable browser in it’s own rite. The free edition allows you to open up to five tabs at any time and lets you load each pages separately while switching back and forth as you surf the web.
In addition to standard Google Search (default), Atomic Lite’s browser search bar also allows you to switch between Yahoo, Bing, Amazon, eBay, Wikipedia, YouTube and on-page search for a full browsing experience.
In comparison to the $0.99 full version (download from iTunes), Atomic Web Browser Lite is only short a few but convenient browser features. The most important feature missing from the free version is the ability to reload your previous tabs and each time you open the app. If you tend to browse the same pages often on your iPad, you can still add your favorite sites as bookmarks, but under the free version you will have to reload these pages every time you open the app.
Less popular features that are available in the paid version but not in the free include: view page source, import bookmarks, save web pages for offline reading, additional multi-touch features, and unlimited tabbed browsing.
For the most part, Atomic Lite is still an absolutely essential app for all iPad users as it loads quickly, doesn’t spam you with ads and provides you tabbed web browsing that the iPad’s built-in Safari app does not. Although, the full version is definitely worth the $0.99 (Download from iTunes), the free version works just as well.
